Summer is in full swing here in Toronto, and after a year and a half of lockdown, we couldn’t be more excited. Finally, the city is coming alive once again and that means there are plenty of activities and events taking place all over Toronto. From spending the day at Canada’s Wonderland to hitting the beach or trying your hand at roller skating, check out the top three can’t-miss summer activities in Toronto.

Adventure at Canada’s Wonderland

Are you brave enough to explore one of Canada’s largest amusement parks? Canada’s Wonderland is on practically every Torontian’s bucket list owing to its array of fun, thrilling rides. If you’re a fan of theme parks (or water parks), then head to Vaughan for the day and enjoy all that this attraction has to offer. Some of the most popular Canada’s Wonderland rides include the daring Leviathan, Behemoth, Vortex, and the Yukon Striker.

Roller Skating at the Bentway

Did you know that the ice skating rink at the Bentway has been turned into a roller skating rink for the summer? That’s right, now’s your chance to try this popular ‘70s sport. Hosted by Retro Rolla, skates can be rented by the hour and are available in a plethora of bright hues. Reservations are available online and protective equipment like knee pads is also available. Retro Rolla is suitable for all ages. Enjoy this outdoor activity before it’s gone.

Spend the Day at Scarborough Bluffs

The Scarborough Bluffs are hands down one of the most picturesque locations in all of Toronto. In fact, as soon as you arrive, you may be inclined to believe you’ve been transported to a whole other country. White, sandy beaches, towering cliffs, and turquoise water are what you’ll find at this park (located less than an hour from downtown Toronto). Bring a lunch, a towel, and spend your day swimming and picnicking at this gorgeous locale.

If you plan on visiting Toronto this summer, then be sure to partake in the activities above. And if you need a place to stay during your visit, you’re always welcome at the Best Western Plus Travel Hotel Toronto Airport.
