Holidays are coming and going, but this year's celebrations look different than ever before. With Christmas quickly approaching, residents are curious as to how the holiday will look like in Toronto. Similar to Halloween and Thanksgiving, the festivities are continuing but with a safe twist!

Starting November 20, the Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham transforms into a bright and magical wonderland for a unique drive-thru light festival. The Journey into Enchantment light festival decorates the 1.5 km stretch with over one million Christmas lights.
Pack your car with members from your bubble and take a drive through the spectacular exhibit of animated displays, a music show, simulated starburst firework lights, and a majestic Christmas tunnel. This light festival hopes to raise $100,000 for the SickKids Foundation and the Toronto Animal Shelter. Tickets are sold per car and vary depending on car type. Book your ticket today!
There's another festival lighting up the night sky in Ontario: The Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights has the green light for another year despite COVID-19 disruptions. The annual festival illuminates an eight-kilometer route around Niagara Parks, Dufferin Islands, and the surrounding area. This year will likely see less than its usual number of international tourists who venture to the beautiful display, which makes for enough room for social distancing between visitors.
While there are no fireworks taking place this year, the festival still features 15 Canadian wildlife displays, 50 decorated trees, a light show at the Toronto Power Generation Station, three-dimensional angels, a Noah's Ark display, and much more. There's no fee to enter, but donations of $5 or $10 are happily accepted.
Nothing is stopping a parade of Santa Clauses from taking over the streets this winter—the beloved Santa Clause Parade is still on! This year, however, the event continues to a crowd of zero. Instead, you can watch the spectator-less display on CTV so you can enjoy the festivities from the comfort of their homes.
Over 20 floats, musical presentations, celebrities, and marching bands will bring the Christmas spirit to Toronto while walking down a closed set route. Don't miss it!
